AIESEC
AIESEC is the world’s largest student-run organization present in over 130 countries. AIESEC Edmonton is one of 30 local chapters in Canada. We strive to provide unique and meaningful leadership opportunities through the placement and facilitation of paid and volunteer international internships.
Alberta Not for Profit Association
The Alberta Not for Profit Association (ANPA) aims to connect individuals from different universities with various not-for-profit organizations. Students are exposed to dynamic and real-world opportunities that showcase the positive impact of not-for-profits on our communities.
Alberta JDC West
JDC West is the largest business competition in Western Canada. Bringing together nearly 650 of the best students from 12 of Western Canada’s top universities. These schools unite annually for the 3-day competition to be tested in academics, athletics debate and an out-of-the-box social competition in pursuit of being declared “School of the Year”.
Business Technology Management (BTM) Club
The Business Technology Management (BTM) Club (formerly known as the Management Information System (MIS) Club) is an innovative group focused on providing students with insight into the world of Business and Technology. We strive to educate individuals on the benefits of an MIS degree and hope to strengthen the relationship between students and professionals within the field.
Business Exchange Association
The Business Exchange Association (BEA) exists to encourage, facilitate and support all Business Students with international exchanges, promoting international business, and developing the international experience. We do so by involving incoming exchange students into student life, and by helping and encouraging local students to go on an exchange themselves.
Business Finance Association
As a student group, our goal is to contribute to the professional development of university students actively interested in corporate finance, banking, investments, and other related fields. The club will be dedicated to maintaining an educational link between students and the world of finance.
Cooperative Education Students’ Association
The Cooperative Education Students Association provides support for students enrolled in the Alberta School of Business Cooperative Education Program through a variety of annual initiatives. These events include the Top of Class Dinner and Professional Development Resources.
eClub
The Entrepreneurship Club (eCLUB) is an interdisciplinary group open to all Undergraduate, Graduate, and PostDoc students, striving to connect entrepreneurial students from different areas of study. eCLUB strives to expose individuals to entrepreneurship on campus and provide new entrepreneurs with the support and resources they need to make their ideas a reality.
Interdisciplinary Consulting Association
The Interdisciplinary Consulting Association is an organization that is open to all business majors and all faculties. We aim to strengthen the knowledge of students actively interested in the field of consulting and to connect them with professionals from the consulting departments of various firms and organizations. The main type of consulting we focus on is management consulting.
Lazy Faire Magazine
Lazy Faire Magazine is run by Business students, for Business students. Every month, we feature interviews with corporates and students who’ve made a significant impact in their community. We also provide everything from networking tips to lifestyle columns, all delivered through captivating design!
Network of Empowered Women
Founded in January 2012 by female Bachelor of Commerce students, the Network of Empowered Women (NEW) is an undergraduate student group at the University of Alberta School of Business. NEW’s primary focus is a four-day annual national conference taking place at the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise in Banff National Park that brings together 100 student delegates from across Canada with inspiring leaders from a multitude of sectors in the Alberta and Canadian community. The conference consists of numerous keynote presentations, breakout and workshop sessions, networking/social events, delegate challenges, and much more.
NXT Gen
NXT-GEN is a University of Alberta student group whose members have a passion for education and entrepreneurship. Our mission is to bridge the gaps in entrepreneurship and business education at the high school and post-secondary levels.
Our ideal world is one where access to business education is universal - no high school or post-secondary student is left wondering what business is or what skills are necessary to succeed in business. At NXT-GEN, we think the entrepreneurial spirit should be taught through experience-based learning and competition.
Financial Literacy Club
We dream of the idea of financial freedom for our community and believe that gaining knowledge of basic finance today will enable individuals to be the leaders of tomorrow. No matter what stage of life one is at, we want to help everyone benefit financially. Our team comprises student experts who are willing to help you answer your questions and give you the right resources to help you achieve your financial goals. Topics covered during our events relate to subjects we believe are essential in order to aid with the creation of financial independence. Through our ties within the industry, we bring in experts that help people get insight into the best banking practices and gain an understanding regarding the importance of being financially literate.

Established for over forty years, the University of Alberta Accounting Club (UAAC) serves as an intermediary between the profession of accounting industry and students to assist them throughout their pursuit of becoming accounting professionals. The UAAC continuously provides and informs students about accounting related events, including volunteer/job opportunities, events, and much more!
University of Alberta HR Management Association
The University of Alberta Human Resource Management Association is a student-led organization committed to building and promoting the Human Resources community. Serving its members at the Alberta School of Business since 1996, UAHRMA strives to facilitate Human Resource awareness, education and career development through various networking and academic events.
University of Alberta Marketing Association
UAMA is a bold minded student group working to provide business students with creative and unique marketing-related events to attend, which will enrich their university experience. Our mission is to connect students with professionals in the marketing industry in a fun and always evolving atmosphere.

The University of Alberta Real Estate Committee exists to educate students about the real estate industry and opportunities available by connecting them with employers through our events. We enable high potential students to secure fulfilling career opportunities and provide employers with the most intelligent, driven and qualified graduates.
University of Alberta Investors Club
The UA Investors Club is a newly founded club at the University of Alberta. Our main goal is to ensure everyone has the excess to learn about investing and what key indicators to look for when investing in a specific market. We guide in understanding the fluctuation of the market and define financial terms when evaluating and researching companies. We need to help students understand the financial concepts when investing and how they can invest responsibly.
Venture Capital & Private Equity Club
The VCPE Club seeks to bridge the gap between the Alberta School of Business (ASOB) and the burgeoning Alberta tech ecosystem through the lens of venture capital and private equity (VC & PE) investment.
We believe three things: the tech ecosystem will play an integral role in our provinces future, we have the talent to succeed, and Alberta's best days are ahead.
Women in Business
Women in Business is an organization that is centered around empowering students at the University of Alberta and providing them with the tools they need to excel in their careers. Additionally, Women in Business offers a safe and inclusive environment for individuals of all backgrounds to learn, grow, and establish meaningful connections with their peers. Women in Business hopes to uplift women, their allies, and those who want to learn more and ensure they are given valuable seminars and opportunities to meet powerful female business leaders and role models in the community.
